Our organization sources leather exclusively from tanneries audited and certified according to the protocol of the Leather Working Group (LWG), the internationally recognized standard for assessing environmental performance within the leather manufacturing sector.

The LWG protocol is based on a structured audit system that evaluates and scores tanneries against objective and measurable criteria, including:

• A formalized and documented Environmental Management System

• Monitoring of water and energy consumption, including reduction targets and continuous improvement plans

• Management of air emissions and wastewater discharges, ensuring compliance with applicable local and international regulations

• Waste management procedures (hazardous and non-hazardous), including full documentation and traceability

• Chemical Management, including compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., REACH, where applicable) and implementation of chemical control procedures

• Raw material traceability throughout the supply chain

LWG ratings (Bronze, Silver, Gold) are assigned based on the score achieved during periodic third-party audits.

The selection of LWG-certified suppliers is an integral part of our corporate sustainability policy and integrated management system, supporting the reduction of environmental impact across the supply chain and fostering continuous environmental performance improvement.

Documentation confirming supplier certification status is collected, verified, and maintained in accordance with our internal supplier qualification and monitoring procedures.
